Cosplay, Creativity And Confidence - Meet The Face Behind The Fandom: Saturn Interview

1.) What does Saturn mean?

Saturn was the Roman god of wealth and time — ruled over a whole Golden Age. The planet stands for discipline and karma, like putting in the work and watching it all come back around. That’s the energy I move with — building my own golden age, my way.


2.) How many years have you been in the cosplaying/punk scene?

I've been in the creative/alt scene since about 2019, i would’ve been long before but i grew up on a ranch with strict parents so I couldn’t present myself how i wanted back then.

3.) What’s your favorite clothing brand you’ve worked with?

Moeflavor! I’ve loved them since they were an Instagram page with only a few followers and they’ve exploded in popularity over the last few years and I was so happy when I got to become an ambassador for them 🥹 they really fit the female confidence platform I want to give.

4.) Do you feel like there is any like minded individuals in your city?

There definitely are a lot of likeminded individuals but it’s also pretty cliquey, so it can be harder to find people to collab with or work with.


5.) What’s the weirdest dm you’ve gotten

I’ve ran into some wild shit 😭 most of it not internet appropriate BUT I do have some interesting stories. The one craziest that I recall is this photographer that’s worked with Trippie Redd and other rappers asked me to come over to his spot when he was on house arrest, I refused, because I was like why would I as a woman meet a random ahh guy on HOUSE ARREST over in Brooklyn park??? And fast forward a little bit later he got arrested for sex trafficking women. 😟


6.) What is your favorite color and why does it represent you?

Purple, it’s still super dark and moody but can be soft at the same time, which is that I feel like fits my persona.


7.) Who is Saturn?

Saturn is controlled chaos, the kind of energy that blends beauty, confidence , and self possession. Saturn’s not about being perfect — I might not always do the right thing at the right time, but I always move with intention. I learn as I go and turn every lesson into something real. I’m soft when I want to be, sharp when I need to be. It’s that mix of calm and chaos that makes me, me.



8.) Tell me a very memorable moment from one of your shoots

I think one of my favorite moments was actually getting TO a shoot, it was me and my sister and a couple other photographers and assistants. We were doing a Halloween shoot by the river and we literally got covered in mud and had to use rope to dang near rappel down the hillside haha. Good times like that set the mood to the shoot and always helps make a great experience.


9.) Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

Honestly, I don’t have every detail figured out yet, but I know I’ll still be creating, evolving, and pushing my vision forward. As long as I’m doing what I love and staying true to myself, I’ll be exactly where I need to be. I def want to keep growing in the creative world, collaborating with artists I admire, and making work that actually leaves a mark.



10.) How have the hardships of your career affected you, and what have you done/what do you do to keep overcoming.

It’s definitely affected how some people treat me or see me, but I’ve learned not to let that define me. I create the content I do to remind myself that I don’t have to fit into the plain, reserved box I was raised in to be happy. I’m at my best when I’m expressing emotional freedom — even if it’s through shoots that aren’t the most modest. It’s empowering to show that I genuinely don’t care about outside opinions, because everything I do, I do for myself  I didn’t have any freedom at all growing up to be my own individual character and I’ve created it not only for myself, but so other people can see they can step outside whatever box they think they have to be in.
